The Equality Badge is addressed to small and medium-sized enterprises (with 11 to 250 employees or a turnover of 2 to 50 million euros)[1] and large enterprises (with more than 250 employees or a turnover exceeding 50 million euros)[2] in the public and private sectors that operate in Greece.
Specifically, enterprises must take into account the participation requirements set out in Article 5 of Ministerial Decision 112972/22.12.2023. In particular, enterprises must:
- Operate within the Greek Territory with a Greek Tax Identification Number (AFM).
- Belong to the category of small/medium-sized or large enterprises.
- Be active and not in a state of inactivity, liquidation, bankruptcy, or compulsory administration, nor have their Tax Identification Number suspended for any reason.
- Not have had a criminal or administrative sanction imposed on them, with final effect, for violating legislation on equal treatment of women and men, protection of maternity and parental leave, or prevention and combating of violence and harassment at work, for at least three (3) years prior to submitting the application.
- Not have had a conclusive finding issued by the Greek Ombudsman regarding violations of legislation on equal treatment of male and female employees, protection of maternity and parental leave, or prevention and combating of violence at work, for at least three (3) years prior to submitting the application.
For the first three requirements, enterprises must submit the necessary formal documentation.
